1 Dead 2 Injured in Fire

PRESS RELEASE March 15, 2019

House Fire under investigation 1 dead 2 injured.

At approximately 11:55 PM Round Lake Park Police and Grayslake Fire Responded to a possible structure Fire at 2523 Lippizan Lane, Round Lake Park IL.

Neighbors reported seeing smoke and called the Fire Department. A 68 year old man was pronounced dead at the scene. The Coroners Office will be scheduling an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death. The victims 69 year old wife was transported to Condell Hospital in Libertyville and treated for smoke inhalation.

A neighbor who entered the house was also treated for smoke inhalation and released.

Preliminary investigation indicates the fire doesn’t appear to be suspicious. The cause is under investigation by the Grayslake Fire Protection District and the State Fire Marshall’s Office.
