Commander Lepe Recognized for 20 Years of Service

The Round Park Police Department and the Round Lake Park Village Board recently recognized Commander Lepe for his 20 years of service.

Commander Lepe previously worked for the Federal Aviation Police and the Village of Hainesville. He has been assigned to patrol, investigations, narcotics and gangs. Commander Lepe is recognized as an expert Gang Officer and has been asked to testify as an expert witness.

During his assignment to investigations he assisted in a narcotics case that led to the recovery of over 800 pounds of cannabis, the seizure of numerous vehicles involved in drug trafficking and the taking down of a “grow house” under construction during this investigation.

His knowledge and expertise of gangs and narcotics has resulted in numerous arrests and seizures of guns.

Commander Lepe is highly respected within our Latino Community has been a instrumental in training us in cultural understanding and awareness.
