Lori Hagi Round Lake Park Police Department Nomination
For the past six years Lori has maintained, organized and put her heart and soul into our Shop with a Cop program. Many don’t realize the amount of time and effort this program requires. From fund raising to last minute details, insuring the children in our community have a holiday. Planning begins several months before the event. With assistance of School District Social workers, Religious organizations, Police Officers and in some instances Loris recognition of abused children in her role with the police department.
Lori has help provide hundreds of children with a memory, and in many cases, the only holiday experience many will ever had.
Working with a local senior’s organization from our Saddlebrook community, she has coordinated providing each child with a hand knitted hat, scarf and gloves. She personally goes to great lengths to insure each child goes home with the appropriate staples for the winter.
As you read this at the presentation, I want you to look over at Lori to see her greatest asset, her humbleness, quiet pride and dedication to community. She is truly representative of what Lake County and the Round Lake Communities represent, hard work, pride and giving.
Sincerely,
Chief George Filenko
