Finger Print Scanner

The Round Lake Park Police Department has acquired the LS1100 fingerprint transportable scanning and booking photo booking system.

The LS1100 system is designed to be permanently mounted for booking at the police station or to be carried in the field powered by its internal power pack – or both. The system employs a color touch screen which makes this device extremely simple to use.

The LS1100 collects forensic-quality finger prints and then formats and prints the standard FBI as well as all state and local print cards. In addition, the LS1100 allows previously seen prints to be looked up and also transmits print information electronically.

“This system will allow for expedient accurate fingerprinting and identification. Officers can process individuals for minor crimes at the police station as an alternative to transporting them out town to our 911 Center / Lockup in Round Lake Beach. More often then not officers are in situations where an individual provides false identification. The system allows for a quicker, accurate response allowing officers a faster more efficient turnaround time.” Chief George Filenko
