PRESS RELEASE – Multiple Death Investigations

The Round Lake Park Police Department with the assistance of the Lake County Coroners Office, is conducting two death investigations that occurred within days of each other in the 500 Block of Arbor Drive, Round Lake Park IL.

On August 16, 2019 around 9:50 PM, officers responded to the 500 Block of Arbor Drive for a Report of a non responsive female. A 44 year old Chicago woman was transported to Condell Hospital in Libertyville and later pronounced dead.

On August 18, 2019 around 11:00 PM officers responded to same same address for a report of a non responsive male subject. The 44 year old Round Lake Park resident was pronounced dead at the scene.

Preliminary information indicates that both subjects knew each other and may have been in a relationship.

An autopsy has been scheduled for 9:00 AM today for the Chicago woman.

The cause of death has not been officially determined. Items found at the scene indicate narcotics may have played a role in both deaths.

The identities of both victims are being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
