Telephone Scam Alert

An individual claiming to be an FBI agent contacted a resident informing him that a vehicle had been rented in his name in Texas. The caller went on to say that the vehicle was involved in a drug transaction.

The “FBI” agent informed the caller that in order to clear his name he would need to provide him with $3,550 in gift cards.

The victim purchased the gift cards and provided the caller with the card numbers.

Please do not answer numbers you don’t recognize. Report this type of activity to police immediately.
