BY MICK ZAWISLAK (MZAWISLAK@DAILYHERALD.COM) An encounter Friday afternoon with a suicidal man who approached police in Round Lake Park with a knife and asked to be shot was defused without injury. The Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) informed our agency that we will receive an award under the Fiscal Year (FY) 2019 Bulletproof Vest Partnership (BVP) solicitation.
